A multiple-input multiple-output wireless communication system is analytically studied, which operates with the aid of a large-scale reconfigurable intelligent surface (LRIS). LRIS equipped multiple passive elements discrete phase adjustment capabilities, and independent Rician fading conditions are assumed for both transmitter-to-LRIS LRIS-to-receiver links. direct transceiver link also considered modeled by Rayleigh distribution. The performance studied when linear yet efficient zero-forcing detection implemented at receiver. In particular, outage derived in closed-form expression different configuration setups regards to available channel state information (CSI) fact, case perfect imperfect CSI analyzed.
